Vitamin P: New Work by Jane Callister

To celebrate the inclusion of UCSB Associate Art Professor Jane Callister in the forthcoming Phaidon Press book Vitamin P: New Perspectives in Painting the University Art Museum will showcase a selection of her new paintings in the Thayer Project Gallery. These works call to mind a fusion of abstract landscapes and 70's super graphics. Callister's evocative and visionary paintings blend volcanic lava forms, cartoon cliffs, liquid psychedelic colors and candy coated swirls into work that is tongue-in-cheek, luxurious, ambitious and daring.
