FINE ARTS COLLECTION

The UAM’s distinguished Fine Art Collection of over 8,500 works is a rich cultural resource for exhibitions and research. On permanent view is the Sedgwick Collection of Old Master Paintings and the Morgenroth Collection of Renaissance metals and plaquettes. Objects from the Museum’s Ethnographic and Antiquities Collections as well as extensive holdings of 16th to 18th century works on paper and the Trevey Collections of early 20th century American Realist prints are exhibited on a rotating basis. Along with the Ruth Schaffner Collection of International Post War Art, the UAM has a growing collection of contemporary artwork in all media, which forms the basis for many innovative temporary exhibitions.

For information regarding access to the Permanent Collection or the Print Room contact Museum Registrar, Susan Lucke at slucke@uam.ucsb.edu.
