Be a part of the intellectual heart of the visual arts in Santa Barbara and the Central Coast. The University Art Museum (UAM) presents innovative, dynamic and culturally diverse exhibitions on a rotating basis year round. It also organizes interdisciplinary programs on issues of historical, cultural, and social relevance. The UAM seeks to promote scholarship, inspire creative excellence, and deepen understanding of visual arts produced by the world’s peoples, past and present. The UAM conserves, displays, and interprets 8,500 works of art and thousands of items in its renowned Architecture & Design Collection (ADC).

Members’ Benefits
The Friends of the UAM is an active volunteer group that stimulates community interest in the Museum. As a non-profit organization, the Friends of the UAM sponsor special events, and raise money for educational programs.

Membership Levels:
UCSB Membership:
$20 Students, staff, and faculty. Benefits as above. ($20 is tax deductible)
Individual:
$35 Benefits as above. ($35 is tax deductible)
Dual/Family:
$50 Benefits as, above plus two membership cards. ($50 is tax deductible)
Contributor:
$100 As above plus a complementary UAM catalogue and a gift membership sent to a friend or relative. ($82 is tax deductible)
Sustaining:
$250 As above plus a private, behind the scenes tour of the UAM or the ADC with the curator. ($232 is tax deductible)
Patron/ADC Patron:
$500 As above plus special receptions/previews of upcoming projects and a behind the scenes tour of the UAM or the ADC with the curator. ($482 is tax deductible)
Director’s Circle:
$1,000 As above plus a director-led special (private or corporate) event or visit to private collections. *($982 minus the University benefits listed below are tax deductible)

*Members at the Director’s Circle level and above are automatic members of the UCSB Chancellor’s Council, which provides parking, library passes and other benefits.
