Edgar Heap of Birds Public Art Projects
The following poem posters were first presented by "Arts in Transit" in connection with the exhibition of 16 Songs at the Saint Louis Art Museum, November 15, 1995 - January 7, 1996. Individual posters were randomly placed in each car of the St. Louis public transportation subway system.
The same texts were used as billboards in Denton and Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, in conjunction with the exhibition at the University of North Texas Art Gallery, August 30 - October 6, 1995. They appeared on bus-stop benches in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in conjunction with the presentation at the Gallery of Contemporary Art, University of Colorado.
They now make their debut here on the World Wide Web.
